Tony D. Burton Joins DBA's Broadcast Department
07/12/2007
Don Buchwald & Associates is pleased to welcome Tony D. Burton to its
New York team. Burton, who launched a successful career in television production
in 1992, joined DBA as a Host and Broadcast agent.
Following assignments with “Saturday Night Live” and NBC Sports,
Burton joined the production staff of “Dateline NBC”. He received
an Emmy award in 2000 for his coverage of the Columbine High School shootings.
Burton went on to serve as a producer on NBC’s “Today Show,” before
leaving the network to produce several projects, including Dan Aykroyd’s “Out
There” for the Sci-Fi network and “Inside the NFL” for
HBO. Prior to joining DBA, Burton was the Senior Segment Producer for ESPN’s
live national morning show “Cold Pizza.”
In addition to his extensive
work as a producer, Burton is the author of These are a Few of My Favorite
Things (Simon & Schuster, 1999), the proceeds
of which benefited the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Says president Don Buchwald, “Tony
brings a wealth of experience as a television producer and programming
executive in the sports and talk show
business and will be a tremendous asset to our agency.”
