DBA Acquires Field-Cech; Gayla Nethercott to Head Up Lit Department

Don Buchwald & Associates is pleased to announce the creation of a new literary department, based in Los Angeles and headed by Gayla Nethercott.

DBA simultaneously acquired Field-Cech, the boutique literary agency, and welcomed Nethercott, formally of Broder Kurland Webb Uffner and, more recently, her own management company. Between the lists the two powerhouses bring to the table, DBA gains some sixty new clients, both writers and directors.

Maggie Field and Judy Cech will act as consultants during the transition process. Nethercott plans to hire two additional agents to round out the department. Some of the agency’s current actor-filmmaker clients, including Martin Donovan, Mary Stuart Masterson and Ralph Macchio, will work with Nethercott and the other agents to realize their literary aspirations.
